CO2 climate compensation
Climate neutral from 2022
Our planet is in great danger and we will all feel the changes we have caused: storms, droughts, floods and many other effects of the climate crisis. We are all challenged! That is why we - as part of Familie Wiesner Gastronomie (FWG) - will be completely CO2 neutral from 2022. In doing so, we want to make a contribution to overcoming the climate crisis that affects us all.
We reduce our climate-damaging emissions wherever possible. For example, in the ingredients we use, the electricity we consume, or the waste we generate in the process. Where this is not yet possible, we measure our carbon footprint with our partners Eaternity and Cozero and offset the emissions with certified projects through our partner myclimate.
Common goal, joint contribution
No one can escape the climate crisis, because it challenges us all. Therefore, the climate contribution of Familie Wiesner Gastronomie AG applies not only to us as a company, but also to all our customers. This means that with every purchase we charge a small amount of the purchase value as a contribution to climate protection. This is only about half of the total costs we spend on climate protection and only a fraction of what is needed to save our planet.
What is climate-friendly food?
A dish causes an average of 1,258 g of CO2 emissions - this was calculated from over 76,000 recipes in Switzerland. Anything that has at most half the CO2 emissions, i.e. better than 629 g of CO2 per dish, is considered climate-friendly.
So you can comfortably eat climate-friendly: Filter by "climate-friendly" in our online store and enjoy our sushi sustainably.

Our partner for climate compensation
myclimate
What we can't reduce, we compensate. So we support myclimate, our partner for effective climate protection.
In doing so, we invest in two climate projects: ceramic filters for clean drinking water in Laos and climate-optimized forest management in the canton of Solothurn.
It's important to us to invest in climate protection.
It is important to us to support a project in Laos, because Laos is very strong in rice production. And because the CO2 balance of rice does not shine with good values, we want to use our climate contribution specifically there.
But we do not only want to get involved abroad, but also support a Swiss project.
